(KCPW News) Salt Lake County officials want to remind all public pool-goers this summer to use good hygiene and to avoid swimming while ill. Such efforts go a long way in preventing a waterborne bacterium known as cryptosporidium which is resistant to chlorine and can make unlucky swimmers sick for weeks.
