(KCPW News) A legislative commission tasked with finding a new location for Utah’s state prison has a lot to consider when it comes to finding the perfect site: proximity to hospitals or schools, whether to use private or public land, environmental impacts, and many other factors.
But MGT of America, the consulting firm hired to guide the state through the prison relocation process, says communication is by far the most essential part of selecting the right place for a new prison.
KCPW’s Ryan Cunningham attended the legislative Prison Relocation Commission’s meeting on Thursday, and has this report.
