The Bottom Line (Air Date: October 7, 2014) – Jeramy Lund and Robb Kunz are Active Angel investors and co-sponsors of The Park City Project, a business incubator run by both PandoLabs and Boomstartup.
Business incubators have been around for decades but have had mixed results at best. But after 2005 that all changed, when an entrepreneur named Paul Graham believed that fairly young, technically savvy people could be taught many of the secrets of building a successful company. Graham started Y-Combinator which has helped launch several of the most successful startups in the last decade including Dropbox, AirBnB, and Swipe as well as many other companies you may not have heard of. Heroku sold to Salesforce.com and resulted in an estimated 400 times return for Y-Combinator in just three years. Lund and Kunz hope their Park City Project will replicate that kind of success for Utah Startups. This is Part One of a Two-Part interview.
