Startup Spotlight: A few years ago Emily Taylor, a nationally recognized quilt designer, saw a need for online tools to help other quilters map their projects. Hence PatternJam.com was born. And it turns out the quilting space is much larger than non-quilters would believe. Building a quilt remains the creative outlet of choice for millions of Americans. It takes a lot of time, skill and a fair amount of money. And until PatternJam quilters had to mentally envision what the finished product would look like. Even the most skilled quilters occasionally produced what Emily affectionately calls “an ugly quilt”.
