Senator Bennett 2The Hinckley Institute Radio Hour (Air date: February 3/6, 2016) — Last week the Hinckley Institute inducted former Utah Senator Bob Bennett into the Hinckley Institute of Politics Hall of Fame. Sen. Bob Bennett served as one of Utah’s Senators from 1993 through 2011.  In 2010 Bennett lost his Senate seat to Republican Mike Lee.   In 2011, he was named a Hinckley Institute Scholar and returned to the University of Utah to host the Robert F. Bennett Seminar, which he taught for four years.  Last year Bennett was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Several notable people spoke as part of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, including Hinckley Institute Director Jason Perry, University of Utah President David Pershing, Former Utah Governor and EPA Secretary Mike Leavitt, and Department of Political Science and Hinckley Institute of Politics Associate Professor and Lecturer Tim Chambless.  This event was recorded last week, on January 27, 2016.

The program airs every Wednesday at 10 AM and Saturday at 9 AM. Hosted by Anthony Scoma, the program highlights and contextualizes the forums presented by the Hinckley Institute of Politics every fall and spring semester at the University of Utah.
