Behind the Headlines

Protesters are removed from Inland Port meeting

Play

Dozens of protestors are forcibly removed from a Utah Inland Port Authority board meeting. The field of candidates running for mayor of Salt Lake City becomes clear, as do some of the major issues of the race. And University of Utah police apologize for including slain student Lauren McCluskey’s name in the program for awards commending the way the school handled her case.
At 9 a.m. on Friday, Salt Lake Tribune reporters Taylor Stevens, Courtney Tanner, and columnist Robert Gehrke join KCPW guest host Marcie Young Cancio to talk about the week’s top stories. Every Friday at 9 a.m., stream “Behind the Headlines” at kcpw.org, or tune in to KCPW 88.3 FM or Utah Public Radio for the broadcast. Join the live conversation by calling (801) 355-TALK.
