It’s here! Day ten brings a roundup of various films including WE ARE FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME. We speak with director Andrew Fried about the improv hip-hop group calledFreestyle Love Supreme where Lin Manuel Miranda started before making In The Heightsand Hamilton. We also sit down with longtime Utah resident, director Robert Machoian, and his cast Clayne Crawford (also a producer), Chris Coy, and Sepideh Moafi about THE KILLING OF TWO LOVERS. The film, shot largely in Kanosh, Utah, is a moving narrative about the pains of separation while trying to hold together a family. We speak with Machoian, producer and star Crawford, Moafi, and Coy about the process of creating such an emotional journey. Then, join us for a conversation with Jeff Baena and Alison Brie as we chat about HORSE GIRL – a film that premieres today on Netflix! It’s a drama, sci-fi, comedy, mystery, and overall, very unconventional ride that stems from memories of Brie‘s past. A film that also stars Brie, it is also her first time writing a screenplay, a joint collaboration with veteran Baena. We then speak with a trio from RELIC, a film that screened in the “Midnight” category at Sundance. With award-winning music videos and short films under her belt, this is the feature debut for Australian filmmaker Natalie Erika James. Stars Bella Heathcote and Robyn Nevin complement our conversation with James.
