Today on “In the Hive,” with the arrival of cold weather and snow, we look at the plan homeless services providers hope to have in place to ensure there is winter overflow shelter for people who don’t have a roof over their heads. There’s a need for additional shelter as the region’s three new homeless resource centers are frequently at capacity, and that capacity can be further limited because of the need for social distancing during the pandemic. But there are some snags to the plan, including new opposition to the use of a hotel in Midvale to house the homeless.
