This week on In the Hive, we feature a conversation with Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill. Gill has been under fire from protestors for his decision not to file charges against officers involved in the police-shooting death of Bernardo Palacios-Carbajal. Through the years, though, Gill has drawn the ire of police and protestors alike, depending on whether he has deemed police use-of-force to be justified – or not. Now, with national scrutiny on instances of police brutality, Gill is recommending changes to the laws he is beholden to when making his determinations.
