(KCPW–July 15, 2013) Tens of thousands of animals are killed every year in city and county shelters throughout Utah. Best Friends Animal Society has been on the front lines to try and change that by developing unique programs and partnering with local governments. On Saturday they opened an urban adoption center as one step in a larger plan to eventually make Utah a no kill state. KCPW Reporter Kim Schuske has this story.
