(KCPW–September 5, 2013) The Utah Department of Transportation wants to build a freeway that would go north from Farmington, adjacent to the Eastern edge of the Great Salt Lake wetlands. The controversial roadway is expected to impact 52 acres of wetlands and additional prime habitat, which has caused environmentalist and now the US Department of the Interior to oppose the plan. KCPW Reporter Kim Schuske has the story.
