In the Hive

The Lincoln Project’s Stuart Stevens on the 2020 election and the future of the GOP

Play

Today on “In the Hive,” we’re joined by a longtime Republican strategist who early on in the last presidential election cycle decided that Donald Trump wasn’t the right candidate for his party, or the right president for his country.

Stuart Stevens is a political operative who worked on both of George W. Bush’s presidential campaigns and served as Mitt Romney’s chief strategist in the 2012 presidential race. Stevens is also the author of the new book “It Was All a Lie: How the Republican Party Became Donald Trump.” These days he is working with The Lincoln Project, based out of Park City, which aims to stop Trump’s reelection.

But what are the long-term aims of the “renegade Republicans” involved in The Lincoln Project?

A conversation about the Republican Party with someone who wants to see a course correction in a post-Trump era.

Guest: Stuart Stevens, political strategist and author
