Play

Both Sides of the Aisle – Natalie Gochnour is joined on The Right by John Dougall, Utah State Auditor, and on The Left by Shireen Ghorbani, former Salt Lake County Council member. They discuss the continuing tensions on the Ukraine-Russia border, the Republican National Committee censuring Congressmembers Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger and calling the events of January 6th “legitimate political discourse,” Salt Lake City drawing closer to hosting the Republican National Convention and the rolling back of mask mandates across the country. They also discuss a proposal to move major transportation projects under UDOT, a bill to provide mental health support to Utah’s first responders, a bill to tighten voter restrictions, a bill to assert the state government’s supremacy over gun rights, a bill normalizing medical marijuana prescriptions and the upcoming winter Olympics.
