Sponsor a Challenge Grant
KCPW’s pledge drives are eight-day, annual, community-wide efforts, powered by public radio champions like you. Make an impact for KCPW’s local public radio mission by helping to create a ripple effect of generosity throughout our community and leaving a lasting impression that you’re a member who cares.
Challenge grants range from $500 to $5,000 or more and can be issued by businesses, organizations or individuals. They can be designed to match a certain amount within an hour, as a one-day match, and/or a match to encourage a type of giving (such as additional gifts, first-time donations, or sustaining gifts).

How does a challenge grant sound? A typical challenge grant script sounds like this:
This hour, [NAME] is matching all donations, up to $500. This is a chance to add even more value to your pledge and help KCPW reach its Fall funding goal that much faster. Thank you [NAME] for being a part of local public radio this hour!
NOTE: Challenge grantors are encouraged to join KCPW staff on-air to help make the pitch. Pitching can be done in-studio or remotely via phone or video link. If you’re interested, be sure to indicate it on the challenge grant sign-up form, and a KCPW staffer will reach out with more information and available times.

Become an Underwriter
When you become a KCPW underwriter, you’ll be in good company!
KCPW’s underwriters are varied: they include high tech businesses, restaurants and food purveyors, investment and law firms, a wide range of retailers, local schools, not for profit organizations and more. But the one thing that ties them all together: their commitment to the community via their support of local public radio.
The KCPW underwriting team can help you design a schedule of underwriting announcements that meet your financial, marketing and philanthropic goals. You may also become a partner in one of our special events or participate in KCPW’s fall and spring corporate challenge programs.
For information about how your business or organization can get involved with KCPW, email Toni Tietjen or call (801) 359-5279 ext. 229.
