The state’s Legislative Records Committee voted Monday against the Utah Democratic Party’s appeal to waive the remaining fees for more than 14,000 redistricting records requested by the party. The party says it will not pay the remaining fees, and regardless of the cost, the redistricting records should be free to the public. Now, as KCPW’s Charlotte Duren reports, the Utah Republican Party is offering to pay for the records.
