Report Ranks Salt Lake City Metro Area 7th Nationwide for Pollution

The Salt Lake City metropolitan area is the seventh worst in the country for short-term particle pollution, according to a new American Lung Association report card, called “State of the Air.” That’s a slight improvement from last year, when it ranked fifth.

Governor, Mayors, UTA Urge Public to Join Clean the Air Challenge

Everyone will ride free on Utah Transit Authority buses, TRAX and Frontrunner trains on February 12. UTA General Manager John Inglish announced Learn to Ride Day at a press conference this morning as a way to increase ridership and improve the air. But a heckler in the crowd asked him why UTA doesn’t offer free fares on red air quality days.
