Our Community Calendar is a volunteer-run resource offered to all qualified nonprofits. Community Calendar events are highlighted live, on-air throughout the day on KCPW. Featured events are chosen at random. You will also find all current Community Calendar events listed here at kcpw.org.
The Community Calendar also has a physical home. Following the criteria listed below, mail or bring professional materials (no handwritten signs please) promoting your event to the KCPW studios at 210 East 400 South, Suite 10, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. We’ll happily hang them in our window for all Library Square traffic to see.
To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:
- The event must take place in Utah.
- The organization promoting the event must be a qualified 501(c)(3) charity or political subdivision.
- The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.
If your event meets these criteria, click “Post Your Event” below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.
We encourage you to make the most of your post by adding a featured image and links to your organization. Utilize the provided field boxes (i.e. location, ticket information) to display information as accurately and quickly as possible.
Please do not submit duplicate postings for the same event. If you are posting a class or workshop that requires registration, list just the first instance in the date and time, and include the details for subsequent classes in the description.
NOTE: approved events are typically posted to the Community Calendar within seven days of your submission.

Apricity (noun): the warmth of the sun in winter.
The precarity of the modern environmental condition is inherently dissonant. Temperature changes, extreme weather patterns, and extinction levels are on the rise, while simultaneously, the awesomeness and splendor of the natural world remains. “Apricity” brings into conversation the unease of the modern climate observer with the calming beauty of organic forms, the glimpses of life in urban landscapes, the optimism of change against a still uncertain future– the hope of sunlight in winter.
Featured artists include Trish Melander, Natalie Garza, Leonard Starbeck, Maria Pitta-Perez, Vincent Mattina, Tamara Buck, Raynola Dominguez, Alexander Hofstetter, Colin Gentry, and many more.
“Apricity” will hang April 5 to May 1 2022, with an artist reception during gallery stroll on Friday April 15 from 6-9pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
South Jordan, Utah: The Wasatch Gem Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, today announced their 2022 Annual Gem, Mineral, & Fossil Show. The 2022 Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show is an affordable event for the whole family to explore and learn about geology and our earth from dinosaur diggers (paleontologists), miners, jewelry makers and more.

On April 15 & 16, we present Nora Lang and Jordan Danielle. Nora is presenting a new work they describe as a catalogue of “fairy tales infused with a cast of trans and non-binary dancers,” reclaiming the queerness written out of these tales by Christian and puritan values. Jordan is reprising their work I’m usually finding myself somewhere around 3 am which they first started developing last fall at Sunday Series. This evening will be presented live at Sunset Studios, 1400 South Main Street. Check back here for a virtual presentation the following weekend, April 22 & 23.

Topaz Stories, Presented by the Friends of the Topaz Museum.
Join us at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda to celebrate the Topaz Stories Exhibit, a collection of 31 stories from the WWII Japanese American incarceration at Topaz, Utah.
A public reception will be held in the Capitol Rotunda on April 22, 2022. Topaz survivors and descendants will be present to share some of their stories. The Exhibit on the 3rd Floor mezzanine will be available through December 31, 2022.

One of the most unique sporting events in the world is coming to the Salt Lake City! Nearly 70 collegiate and club teams and over 1,200 athletes from around the country will attend US Quidditch Cup 2022, fighting for the title of national champion in their division. Quidditch is a full contact, competitive, mixed gender sport inspired by the Harry Potter series.
Hosted in partnership with Sports Salt Lake and Utah Sports Commission, US Quidditch Cup 2022 will be the first national tournament to be held west of the Rocky Mountains. Besides watching over 150 games of quidditch, spectators can check out the fan festival for a variety of merchandise vendors, food trucks, and family entertainment. Elementary, middle, and high school students are invited to take part in youth quidditch activities throughout the weekend, included with the price of admission.
Tickets can be purchased online or on-site. Family ticket bundles and youth/student-priced tickets are also available.
