Our Community Calendar is a volunteer-run resource offered to all qualified nonprofits. Community Calendar events are highlighted live, on-air throughout the day on KCPW. Featured events are chosen at random. You will also find all current Community Calendar events listed here at kcpw.org.
The Community Calendar also has a physical home. Following the criteria listed below, mail or bring professional materials (no handwritten signs please) promoting your event to the KCPW studios at 210 East 400 South, Suite 10, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. We’ll happily hang them in our window for all Library Square traffic to see.
To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:
- The event must take place in Utah.
- The organization promoting the event must be a qualified 501(c)(3) charity or political subdivision.
- The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.
If your event meets these criteria, click “Post Your Event” below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.
We encourage you to make the most of your post by adding a featured image and links to your organization. Utilize the provided field boxes (i.e. location, ticket information) to display information as accurately and quickly as possible.
Please do not submit duplicate postings for the same event. If you are posting a class or workshop that requires registration, list just the first instance in the date and time, and include the details for subsequent classes in the description.
NOTE: approved events are typically posted to the Community Calendar within seven days of your submission.

Global Joy: Festivals, Holidays & Celebrations Around the World is a Wasatch Camera Club photographic exhibit. This show will feature images from around the world (including here at home!) focused on holidays, festivals and celebrations. Examples include the obvious such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Hanukkah but every culture, country, ethnicity, and religion have their own. These holidays, festivals and celebrations may be unique to peoples, but they are also universal expressions of awe, love, devotion, and happiness . . . Global Joy!

Caring Connections: A Hope and Comfort in Grief Program of the University of Utah College of Nursing will hold its annual Seeds of Remembrance event on May 23, 2023 from 7:00-9:00 p.m., at the Eccles Health Science Education Building, 26 South 2000 East Salt Lake City, Utah 84112. The event will also stream on Zoom for those who are unable to join in person.
This year’s theme is “Just Keep Swimming: Lighthearted Lessons in Grief.” The program’s featured speakers are Anita Coyle and Mel Shore, creators of the podcast Widow We Do Now? They will be sharing their “bright-hearted” take on grief with our audience. Music will be provided by Cori Connors. Seeds of Remembrance is free and open to the public. Sign-up by May 17th to have a Pride flag staked in your yard from May 27th to June 10th. Funds from these flag campaigns go into our Community Grant Fund that support LGBTQIA+ initiatives, groups and artists all over Utah. Over $70k in funds raised last year were distributed to 24 organizations and events from Logan to St. George and Moab. Help us to keep spreading the love and raising funds to foster more inclusive communities all over Utah!
Calling all pedal-powered riders! It’s time to dust off your bicycle, put your winter clothes in storage and get ready for the 11th Annual SLUG Cat Presented By Fat Tire. Hosted in conjunction with SLUG Magazine’s Bike Issue, the alley cat–style bike race sends riders all over downtown SLC to win points, solve clues and play games as they race toward the finish line in hopes of winning the grand prize. The race takes place Saturday, May 27, with registration starting 4 p.m. at Saturday Cycles and a 5 p.m. race kickoff.

Torrey Chamber Music Festival will have concerts June 2-4 and a strings camp June 5-7. The Festival provides an opportunity for communities around Torrey, Utah to enjoy exceptional music performances in intimate settings and to provide the local youth a unique opportunity to achieve excellence as they perform along with the festival artists. Our celebration is an opportunity for all to reunite with old friends; build new friendships; meet our various communities, leaders, and elders; and seek new opportunities to be involved and support our diverse Utah Asian communities.
This year’s festival will honor our communities through traditional and modern performances, children’s activities, and spotlights on cultural, nonprofit, and commercial organizations.
