Spoken Word is the Vibe.
Celebrating Black History Month and the historical figures that shaped, courageously recorded and performed spoken word poetry we present Claritea: A Night of Spoken Word.
This event is open to all in need of a safe space to share their word sounds. We encourage those who aren’t writers to bring in their favorite black poets pieces to share such as Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni, Audre Lorde and the multitude of other influential black writers.
Sign up sheet throughout the evening is first come first served.
Teazaanti is a cafe serving tea, beer, wine and food that is available throughout the night.
