
(KCPW News) Despite his roots in the state, former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman did not base his presidential campaign here, opting for sunny Orlando, Florida, in a state that’s much more important to the primary process. Now it’s even more important, with Republicans in that state now planning to push their primary to January 31st. But instead of focusing on Florida, the Huntsman campaign is packing up and moving its headquarters to New Hampshire. Every week, we talk with Thomas Burr, Washington Correspondent for the Salt Lake Tribune and author of Political Cornflakes, a daily, online round-up of Utah politics. He spoke with KCPW’s Jeff Robinson about why Huntsman isn’t shifting the focus to Florida.
