(KCPW News) Former Utah Senator Dan Liljenquist has no shortage of help running his campaign for U.S. Senate. The campaign revealed today it’s assembled more than 600 volunteers in the ten days since he announced his bid. As KCPW’s Whittney Evans reports, volunteers say it’s his energy and accomplishments as a freshman senator that’s helped him outpace other successful campaigns.

There’s a good reason for the 600+ volunteers. Utah is ready for a change and Dan Liljenquist has proven he can make the tough choices to get our fiscal house in order.
We’ve seen this movie before. We saw it with Chaffetz/Cannon. We saw it with Lee/Bennett. Politician stays too long and is taken our by a newcomer riding a wave of excited volunteers. Just say no to the Permanent Ruling Class. Or just say “It’s Time!”

This officer, however, warned that the bill, introduced by Rep Dan Liljenquist, R-Bountiful, would have a detrimental effect on policing in the future. “Anyone who becomes a cop now is crazy,” he says. “Dealing with death and tragedy wears on you. New cops are going quit after 5 or 10 years,” when faced with the prospects of the additional years and the reduced pension. “You’ll see more complaints [by the public], more dirty cops.” Cops, “just won’t be as invested as they used to be.”

From attacking public employees to the poor, this guy is a class act.
@Occupy SLC:
An even more detrimental effect on policing in the future would be to set up makeshift living quarters on public property, encourage masses of people to move in amid conditions lacking hygiene, and encourage mass civil disobedience and animosity towards police officers.
