(KCPW News) Itās not likely you would know about it, but thereās a good chance your license plate have been scanned by the police in Utah. A recent request by the Drug Enforcement Administration to scan license plates on I-15 brought the issue into the limelight. Now the ACLU of Utah is raising privacy concerns and wants to know how the technology is being used. We talked with ACLU of Utah Legal Director John Mejia and took a call from Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder.

Then with the Outdoor Retailer summer market in town, we sat down with Peter Metcalf, CEO of Black Diamond Equipment, to discuss his criticism of Governor Gary Herbertās environmental and public lands policy.

Finally, we talked with Donna McAleer, the Army veteran and businesswoman whoās the Democratic nominee to challenge Republican Congressman Rob Bishop in this yearās election.

Love Donna’s slogan…..Not Left. Not Right. Forward. It truly describes her views and her mission. I hope Utah District #1 voters support her and give her the chance to bring her positive philosophy and action-oriented methods to Washington. We need someone like Donna representing Utah.It is DEFINITELY time for a change.
