A new Medicaid pilot project offering services to children with autism spectrum disorders begins accepting applications today. As KCPW’s Charlotte Duren reports, unlike traditional Medicaid, a parent’s income will not be considered in determining a child’s eligibility for the program, and state officials hope this will be the start to a change in health policies on autism.
