ON listening to Steve Allen’s comment on the name of the canyon with the name Negro and saying he wasn’t sure if It should be changed, I feel that if she was a person of color perhaps his eyes would be open a little bit more as to the humility and sublime joke reinforced by the name with such malignant potency.

He commented that the name was given to the Gentleman, but I ask, was it right to call him NEGRO? If he had a choice back then, would he have wanted to be called NEGRO. We don’t called People of color Negros today, so the name should be changed as the times have changed. should it be called African American Bill, or so forth? Of course not! I am sure the man in question had a REAL NAME and it should be named this.

It never ceases to amaze me, the blind stubborn protocols people have and defend when common sense is right at hand. Perhaps your next book should be on that subject.
