Behind the Headlines

School masks, vaccine resistance, and stadium safety

The U.S. Department of Education launches an investigation into Utah’s law preventing schools from enacting mask mandates. And what the data from a European soccer championship can tell us about the spread of the coronavirus at sports events in the U.S.

At 9 a.m. on Friday, Salt Lake Tribune reporters Becky Jacobs, Bethany Rodgers and Andy Larsen, along with news columnist Robert Gehrke, join KCPW’s Roger McDonough to talk about the week’s top stories.

How many uk cases from football were vaxxed? I know the hype about cases can be skewed to meet an objective. I have 0 worry about getting the delta variant. If people don’t want to get vaxxed, good luck. I have really low concern for most of them. I am going to live my vaccinated life. Polio, measles, rubella etc… im just as worried about those as covid for the same reason. Science.
