ACLU of Utah Sounds Alarm Over Student Privacy

The American Civil Liberties Union of Utah says Utah schools aren’t doing enough to protect students’ privacy. Legal Director John Mejia says students who take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB exam are having their information released to the military without their parents’ knowledge.

$20 Million Coming to Utah for Water Research

$20 million is coming to Utah to help protect one of the state’s most precious resources: water. The funding is going to several colleges and universities, which will spend the next five years studying, managing and learning how to protect water. Westminster College Graduates Largest Class in School’s History

More than 900 students will graduate from Westminster College in Salt Lake City this weekend, becoming part of the largest graduating class in the school’s history. Gary Daynes, Vice President for Strategic Outreach and Enrollment, says that number shows just how much the school has grown. Ten years ago 586 Westminster students received diplomas, compared to this year’s 947.
