Both Sides of the Aisle – Former Utah Rep. Ben McAdams fills in for Natalie Gochnour in The Political Center and is joined on The Right by Sen. Dan McCay, R-Riverton, and on The Left by Shireen Ghorbani, former Salt Lake County Council member. They discuss the Virginia gubernatorial race, the Build Back Better Plan and ranked-choice voting in Utah. They also discuss the resignations of Utah Reps. Francis Gibson and Steve Christiansen, the recently unveiled maps from the Utah Independent Redistricting Commission and a poll of Republican support in the race for Sen. Mike Lee’s seat.

    I find it interesting on discussing ‘build back better’ Shireen didn’t address the idea of inflation increasing poverty, only that short term spending would decrease said poverty (at the expense of long term poverty).

    But regardless of my differences, I agree with pushing forward with expanding ranked choice voting.
