Both Sides of the Aisle – Natalie Gochnour is joined on The Right by Sen. Dan McCay, R-Riverton, and on The Left by Shireen Ghorbani, former Salt Lake County Council member. They discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the “black swan” effect globally and the response by Utah’s elected officials to the unfurling conflict in Europe. They also discuss President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, U.S. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson receiving Biden’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court and the imminent end of the 2022 Utah Legislative Session.

I find it interesting that the State of the Union speech almost seemed a watered down version of what Trump ran on:
1) Economic incentives for bringing back jobs from overseas
2) Strengthening borders
3) Calls to fund (not defund) police
4) Explicit support for capitalism (with implied anti socialism)
I just find it ironic.
