And this year is no exception, with lawmakers proposing to kill the city’s plans to clamp down on electronic billboards, and do away with its anti-idling ordinance as well. Utah residents who suffered abusive practices from big banks and lost their homes to foreclosure during the mortgage crisis are getting some relief. At noon on the steps of the city-county building, newly elected city council members Charlie Luke and Kyle LaMalfa will take their first oath of office.
