Salt Lake Joins Coalition to Make Homes Healthier

Salt Lake County is taking steps to treat kids before they get sick. Yesterday, the County signed the Green and Healthy Homes Initiative Compact, a plan that helps create healthier homes for children living with asthma and other chromic illnesses. Utah’s High School Graduation Rates in Bottom Half of Country

New data released by the U.S. Department of Education shows Utah’s high school graduation rate sits in the bottom half of the country. In 2011 the Beehive State’s graduation rate was 76 percent; lower than 31 other states.
