Community Calendar

Our Community Calendar is a volunteer-run resource offered to all qualified nonprofits. Community Calendar events are highlighted live, on-air throughout the day on KCPW. Featured events are chosen at random. You will also find all current Community Calendar events listed here at kcpw.org.

The Community Calendar also has a physical home. Following the criteria listed below, mail or bring professional materials (no handwritten signs please) promoting your event to the KCPW studios at 210 East 400 South, Suite 10, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. We’ll happily hang them in our window for all Library Square traffic to see.

To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:

  • The event must take place in Utah.
  • The organization promoting the event  must be a qualified 501(c)(3) charity or political subdivision.
  • The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.

If your event meets these criteria, click “Post Your Event” below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.

We encourage you to make the most of your post by adding a featured image and links to your organization.  Utilize the provided field boxes (i.e. location, ticket information) to display information as accurately and quickly as possible.

Please do not submit duplicate postings for the same event. If you are posting a class or workshop that requires registration, list just the first instance in the date and time, and include the details for subsequent classes in the description.

NOTE:  approved events are typically posted to the Community Calendar within seven days of your submission.

Please submit requests at least 14 days before your event – listings read on-air are chosen at random, the week of the event.

The Salt Lake Choral Artists present Verdi’s sacred masterpiece, “Requiem” which has not been heard in Utah for over 20 years! Dr. Brady Allred conducts a professional symphony orchestra, world-class soloists, the internationally renowned Salt Lake Choral Artists with special guests, the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir, in Verdi’s towering masterpiece. Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, 7:30 pm at Libby Gardner Concert Hall.

Join us at the Rocky Mountain Parkinson’s Symposium for the educational program Parkinson’s, Sleep, and Me. Getting adequate rest and sleep is an important component of overall health and quality of life. Parkinson’s disease (PD) creates many challenges to getting a good night’s sleep, both for the person with Parkinson’s and the caregiver. This program provides information on how Parkinson’s disease affects sleep, and ways you can get a better night’s sleep while living with PD.

The Salt Lake Children’s Choir “At Springtime” @ St. Ambrose Church

Now in its 44th year, The Salt Lake Children’s Choir, Ralph Woodward, director, will present “At Springtime”–its annual survey of immortal classics, global treasures, and newer music written especially for the choir– on Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 PM in the Salt Lake City’s beautiful St. Ambrose Church (1975 S 2300 E).

Among works featured will be the sublime “To Music” by Franz Schubert and “At Moonlight” by Robert Schumann–as well as soulful melodies and captivating rhythms from Africa, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and South America. Also heard will be American Spirituals, “Deep River” and “Let Me Fly”– plus the director’s own “Calypso Loco” (in ten parts). The evening will conclude with the choir’s traditional “A Day in Spring”–performed by both present and past choir members. There is a suggested $10 donation per person, and the event is open to ages 6 and above.

Hear Jubilate perform an all-Mozart program featuring the Te Deum K141, Benedictus from Orgelsolomesse K259 and other Mozart favorites.
And, don’t miss the chance to hear Cremme, Utah’s premiere instrumental ensemble, performing Mozart’s Salzburg Symphony K136.

Meet the musicians after the concert and enjoy refreshments, hors d’oeurves, wine, and great conversation.

Calling all pedal-powered riders! It’s time to dust off your bicycle, put your winter clothes in storage and get ready for the 11th Annual SLUG Cat Presented By Fat Tire. Hosted in conjunction with SLUG Magazine’s Bike Issue, the alley cat–style bike race sends riders all over downtown SLC to win points, solve clues and play games as they race toward the finish line in hopes of winning the grand prize. The race takes place Saturday, May 27, with registration starting 4 p.m. at Saturday Cycles and a 5 p.m. race kickoff.
