Our Community Calendar is a volunteer-run resource offered to all qualified nonprofits. Community Calendar events are highlighted live, on-air throughout the day on KCPW. Featured events are chosen at random. You will also find all current Community Calendar events listed here at kcpw.org.
The Community Calendar also has a physical home. Following the criteria listed below, mail or bring professional materials (no handwritten signs please) promoting your event to the KCPW studios at 210 East 400 South, Suite 10, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. We’ll happily hang them in our window for all Library Square traffic to see.
To submit an event to the Community Calendar, the event must meet the following criteria:
- The event must take place in Utah.
- The organization promoting the event must be a qualified 501(c)(3) charity or political subdivision.
- The event cannot promote a religious organization or individual.
If your event meets these criteria, click “Post Your Event” below. Include your contact information in case we have any questions. Otherwise, your event may not get published.
We encourage you to make the most of your post by adding a featured image and links to your organization. Utilize the provided field boxes (i.e. location, ticket information) to display information as accurately and quickly as possible.
Please do not submit duplicate postings for the same event. If you are posting a class or workshop that requires registration, list just the first instance in the date and time, and include the details for subsequent classes in the description.
NOTE: approved events are typically posted to the Community Calendar within seven days of your submission.
Please submit requests at least 14 days before your event – listings read on-air are chosen at random, the week of the event.

Oceanic languages describe the progression of life as a journey into the future that we undertake while facing the past. As modern Pacific Islanders, the achievements and lessons of ancestors remain clearly in front of us – guiding, inspiring, and provoking – as we walk into the future. This community exhibition juxtaposes “traditional” cultural items and themes with “modern” expressions and interpretations by Utah Pacific Islanders that show how the past informs and inspires the present and future.
Free Admission, Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Extended hours during Community First Fridays.
Gallery opening reception March 3 from 6-9 p.m. with artists.
The 501c3 Utah Wildlife Federation announces the Celebrate Utah Wildlife Contest, for Utahns ages 4 and up, to enter Utah-wildlife inspired art, writing, photography, video, digital art, digital storytelling and music/sound. $10,500 in cash prizes including 21 $250 first place prizes for kids, teens, and adults in each media category. South Valley Creative Dance strives to nurture the child as an artist using creative movement and modern dance-based training to encourage each student to relate, reflect, and respond to the world around them. Students ranging from 5th grade through high school will present a beautiful show exploring elements of history through dance and movement. Additionally, audience members will be invited to participate both on stage and from their seats to create a wiggle-friendly environment for all ages.
A baby Yeti is lost in the mountains! Please join us for this fun tale of rescue, good friends, spirit horses and a trip through Mongolia. Puppets in the City is so excited to share this puppet show with you. After the show, you can be part of a “meet-and-greet” with the puppets.

WHAT IS A WHITE PARTY?
White Parties are themed parties at which the standard clothing is all or almost all white and were started in the 1970’s as large dance events closely associated with LGBTQIA+ culture.
The SLC WHITE PARTY is the longest running WHITE PARTY in SLC and inclusive to all who wish to experience a magical night of art, music, performance, dance and joy. The SLC WHITE PARTY is welcoming to all regardless of race, gender, sexuality, or ability.
ATTIRE: A WHITE PARTY is a themed costume party with a special dress code that asks all guests attending to wear white outfits. You can wear colorful accents to a white party in the form of accessories. But generally speaking, except for accessories and accents, your outfit is encouraged to be head-to-toe white!
The SLC White Party is a fundraiser for the Utah Arts Alliance, a Utah 501(c)3 organization.

University of Utah Children’s Dance Theatre presents “Salt”
The Children’s Dance Theatre invites you to come experience a magical adventure for all ages, based on a whimsical folk tale. Three brothers set out to seek their fortunes in a world full of fierce trolls and hungry giants. Ashlad, the youngest brother, is ridiculed and thought of as foolish because he asks so many questions. But Ashlad’s curiosity and kindness seem to bring him remarkable luck wherever he goes. Ultimately, Ashlad proves himself not so foolish after all, and brings home the unlikeliest of treasures, more precious than gold.

Global Joy: Festivals, Holidays & Celebrations Around the World is a Wasatch Camera Club photographic exhibit. This show will feature images from around the world (including here at home!) focused on holidays, festivals and celebrations. Examples include the obvious such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Hanukkah but every culture, country, ethnicity, and religion have their own. These holidays, festivals and celebrations may be unique to peoples, but they are also universal expressions of awe, love, devotion, and happiness . . . Global Joy!

An artistic “journey” that includes samples of RDT’s prestigious historic repertory linked with narration and multi-media to give audiences a greater understanding and appreciation of the history of modern dance and provide information that links the social and cultural history influencing the creation of masterful work by America’s leading choreographers.
