Enjoy lofi guitar vibes from a local musician on our patio while sipping on cider.
From the artist:
“I have been playing music all my life, performing professionally in various groups in the salt lake area and beyond for a little over a decade (currently fronting blues-rock group Poet Bones). Graveljaw Keaton is my newest project, created as a home for my lofi-inspired, western-influenced guitar instrumental music. I’ve always called Utah home, and am excited to share this new project with the same music scene that’s been so supportive all these years!”

Calling all music lovers to come and join the Utah Film Center on Wednesday, June 14 at 7 pm at The City Library in Downtown Salt Lake for a free film screening of Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis).
Presented as part of the Utah Film Center’s Through the Lens Series and in partnership with KUER’s Radiowest, Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis) is a documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the duo who created some of the most recognizable album covers in history like Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.
Hipgnosis went from making covers for their mates (the likes of David Gilmour and Syd Barrett) to establishing themselves as the driving force behind visual identities of some of the most popular artists of the 1970s (think Led Zeppelin and Paul McCartney). Their methods were unconventional, their budgets often unreasonable, but they were fearless visionaries who artfully manipulated photographic images long before computer graphics became ubiquitous.
After the screening will be a Q&A moderated by KUER’s RadioWest host, Doug Fabrizio with producers Trish D. Chetty and Ged Doherty and local artist Jann Haworth, co-creator of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover.

Little Richard: I Am Everything
Like a quasar burning past the gaslight, director Lisa Cortés’ eye-opening documentary explodes the whitewashed canon of American pop music. Little Richard: I Am Everything shines a clarifying light on the Black, queer origins of rock ’n’ roll, and establishes the genre’s big bang: Richard Wayne Penniman. Testimonials from legendary musicians and cultural figures, Black and queer scholars, Penniman’s family and friends, and interviews with the artist himself all exuberantly reclaim a history that was willfully appropriated by white artists and institutions.
