(KCPW News) Newly elected Utah Senator Mike Lee is joining Utah’s Senior Senator, Orrin Hatch, on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Hatch himself made the announcement in a glowing news release, lauding the freshman senator for his commitment to the Constitution. Every week, we talk with Thomas Burr, Washington Correspondent for the Salt Lake Tribune, and author of Political Cornflakes, a daily, online round-up of Utah politics. With Hatch expected to have to fend off Republican challengers in order to keep his job in 2012, KCPW’s Jeff Robinson asked him if the longtime senator is trying to strongly associate himself with Lee, who appears to be a rising star for his Tea Party values.
