Behind the Headlines: What happened Tuesday? (11/07/14)

Play

The second time is the charm for Republican Mia Love, who clinched the 4th Congressional seat Tuesday. Utah’s senior senator will become the GOP’s senior senator, meaning Sen. Orrin Hatch will take on the title of Senate president pro tempore. The Republican wave may have surprised those on the national stage, but locally it’s business as usual, with the GOP maintaining their dominance in Utah’s House and Senate. On Friday at 9 a.m., Tribune editorial writer George Pyle, columnist Paul Rolly and political reporters Robert Gehrke and Thomas Burr join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to process Election 2014.

Tune in to KCPW 88.3/105.3 FM at 9 a.m. for the live broadcast. You can also listen to a live stream here.
